A memorial service for Albert M. Cobb, 82, of Winnsboro, will be held 2 pm Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Lone Cedar Baptist Church, with Rev. Johnny Magnuson and Kevin Cobb officiating. Visitation will be 1 pm until time of service Sunday at the church.

Albert was born February 28, 1942, in Winnsboro to the union of the late Curtis Cobb and the late Dollie Dean Cobb and passed from this life on February 13, 2025, at his residence in Winnsboro.

Albert was a decorated United States Army Veteran serving for 20 years, including two tours in Vietnam; he is also a member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church, Twin Oaks Country Club, and a Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years Shirley Ann Priest Cobb; his son, Michael Alan Cobb; one brother, Billy Cobb; and two nephews: Bobby Earl Goodman and Donald Wayne Goodman.

Those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Enora Pittman of Chase; one daughter, Donna C. Sewell and husband Mickey of Farmerville; daughter-in-law, LaRue Peebles Cobb of Winnsboro; four grandchildren: Sean M Sewell and wife Jessica of West Monroe, Casey Sewell and wife Brianna of Bremerton, WA, Jennifer Cobb of Winnsboro, and Curtis Cobb and wife JoLinda of Columbia; nine great grandchildren; spiritual wife, Elois Arnold of Gilbert; a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cotton Renner and members of Twin Oaks Country Club.
