Obituary

Barbara Lynn Allred Templet, 72, passed away peacefully on the night of March 6, 2025.

Barbara was born on April 6, 1952, in Albany, LA, to Ernestine Stilley Barry and James Allen Allred. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and her vibrant spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Barbara had a passion for dancing, cooking, a talent for gardening, and a love for quilting that lasted throughout her life. Her compassion extended to both people and animals, as she was a devoted wife, mother, nurse, and a loving "dog mother" to many cherished pets. Barbara was also an avid follower of her Christian Science Faith, which provided her with comfort throughout life's ups and downs.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Cornell (Butch) Templet, children Jody Stewart, Sean (Robin) Templet, and Hope (Shane) Vines, as well as grandchildren Autumn Stewart, Tyler Vines, Kaylee Vines, Christopher Templet, Reid Templet, and Rhet Templet, and great-grandchildren Charli Vines and Travis Templet. Additionally, Barbara is remembered by her sister Lois (Joel) Myersj of Denham Springs, LA, and her brother James Allen (Jan) Allred III of Gonzales, LA.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ernestine Stilley Barry and James Allen Allred, her sister Katherine Iris Allred Clark, and her son Ronald "Lucky" Hannon Stewart.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life at Bradford Cemetery, Livingston Parish, LA.

Barbara's warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace and will forever be in their hearts.
