Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Walker, 78 of Winnsboro will be 2 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Dennard First National Chapel with Father Dwight Dejesus officiating. Interment to follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.Mrs. Barbara was born January 20, 1945, in Chopin, LA to the late Zack Walker and the late Orelia Delrie Walker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and Monroe Crafting Ladies; she was a special Ed Teacher for 20 years. Most importantly she was a very loving mother to her daughter, Kim and devoted wife to Wayne.She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kim Walker Steely, two brothers, Earl Walker and Elbert Walker, and a sister Betty Tolbert.Mrs. Barbara is survived by her husband of 59 years and 3 months, Wayne Walker of Winnsboro, LA Special nieces Sissy Walker Holloway and Lori Walker Shirley and her husband Mitch as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends too many to list.Honorary pallbearers will be John Duncan, Kameron Shirley, Mitch Shirley, and Trey Rainbolt.Online registry/condolences at www.dennardfirstnational.com
