Larry Foster and Rev. Jayme Hawthorne officiating; visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.Brenda was born in Newellton, November 4, 1949, to the union of the late Harvey Lee Melville and the late Minnie Louise Moore Melville Bass; she passed to her heavenly reward March 14, 2024, at her daughter's home in Eros, surrounded by her family.Brenda was a member of Maryland Baptist Church; she loved worshipping her Lord and Savior; she enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, traveling, her family time, her sister days, and Livi says 'Wheel of Fortune'!She was married to her high school sweetheart for fifty-seven (57) years; he won her over with shrimp baskets!!! She was a loving mother and hardworking wife. Her family was her heart. She believed God's will was always the best; she believed in Matthew 6:3 (when you give to the needy, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing), and was always a giving/selfless soul. James was her favorite book of the bible. Everyone that met her was blessed. She held a grace that only angels have. She believed in giving your all and God would provide the rest. A beautiful soul!Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael Stephen Melville; nephew Chance Melville; and sister-in-law Nessa Melville.She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, John Wayne Keyes; daughter Kimberly Dawn Keyes Matthews (Chris); son Joe Bearre Keyes (Maria); grandchildren: Christopher Matthews (Zach), Anna Matthews (Dylan), Evie Keyes, and Justice Keyes; great-grandchild Olivia 'Liv' Matthews; sisters: Marion 'Sissy' Dover (John), Kathy Knight (Wayne); sister-in-law Robyn Melville; brothers: Mark Melville (Renee) and Philip Melville; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.Pallbearers are Eric Armstrong, Hunter Bass, Ryan Hestle, Eric Holton, Chris Lancaster, and Cash Melville.Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Morgan and Ricky Foster.Memorials can be made to St. Judes or Wounded Warriors.Services are under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.Online registry/condolences at www.dennardfirstnational.com.
