Funeral services for Rev. Buford Brady, 87 of Baskin, LA will be 10 am Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church Baskin, LA with Rev. Prentis Gandy and Rev. Buddy McGurk officiating, interment to follow in Northeast LA Veterans Cemetery Rayville, LA visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday April 30, 2025, at Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

Brother Buford was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, and was an ordained minister for 50 years, he was a retired United States Postman and an avid fisherman, hunter, master gardener and enjoyed giving produce to those in the community, he was a great husband and Dad.

He was born July 18, 1937, in Baskin, LA to the late Clyde Brady and the late Katie Walters Brady, and went to be with his lord and savior on April 27, 2025, in Monroe, LA he was preceded in death by his parents, wife Etta Brady, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by a daughter Loretta Petty of Baskin, LA; two sons, Anthony Brady and wife Kelly of Crestview, FL, and Melton Brady of Winnsboro, LA; three grandchildren, Mindy Ivey, Tara Onas, and Travis Brady; one great grandson, Eli Ivey; one brother, Jerrell Brady and wife Bonnie of Baskin, LA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be made to St. Jude, local Gideons chapter or charity of choice.
