Carlos E. Leake

Funeral services for Carlos E. Leake, 81, of Winnsboro, will be held at 12 pm Monday, July 13,2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home, with Rev. Clay Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville. Visitation will be 11 am Monday, until time of service at the funeral home.

Carlos was born February 27, 1945, to the union of the late Leo Joseph Leake and the late Alma Edwards Leake and passed from this life on July 7, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

Carlos was a welder by trade, who loved fiddling with stuff; his boys called him a shade tree mechanic. He was an avid hunter especially rabbit hunting, he also enjoyed gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents; several siblings; and a daughter-in-law Brandy Leake.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Ruby Leake; two sons: Michael Leake and wife Staci, and Kevin Leake; three grandchildren: Mallory Leake, Hannah Leake, and Aaron “Tater” Leake; three great grandchildren: Briar, Logan, and Josie Leake, step granddaughter: Ashley Dodd, three great grandchildren: Gavin Dodd and Braydon Dodd, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
