Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Gail Simons, 86, of Long Branch, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 28, 2023, at the Crowville Assembly of God Church in Crowville, Louisiana, with Sis. Bonita Hearne and Bro. Mark Raley officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Crowville Masonic Cemetery; all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro, LA.Mrs. Caroline Gail Jenkins Simons was born on July 21, 1936, in Crowville, Louisiana. She passed this life on January 24, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. Caroline was one of eight children born to the marriage of Wilford and Essie James Jenkins. She was raised and schooled in Crowville, Louisiana. She married the love of her life, Thomas Gerald Simons, on October 17, 1953. They celebrated 67 years of marriage and two children. She was a member of the Calvery Assembly of God in Henderson, Texas. Caroline loved to play the piano and sing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. Thomas G. Simons; siblings, Hersey Jenkins, Cyrina Underwood, Ollie Janway, Rogers Jenkins, Elmer Jenkins, Clinton Jenkins, and Lindsey Jenkins.Mrs. Simons is survived by her loving children, Malcolm Simons and wife Suzanne of Rockwall, Ramona Thompson and husband Wayne of Long Branch; grandchildren, Geni Gill, Ranota and Brandon Carroll, Miranda and Tim Irby, Jerry Thames, Mendy and Charlie Wiltshire, Savanah and Brian Wood, Ashton Simons, Troy Dureault, Nicole Dureault, Aimee Dureault, Lillian Simons; Thirteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patsy Allen, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
