Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn A. Ferrington, 74, of Gilbert, LA will be 10 AM Monday, July 31, 2023, at Chase Baptist Church, Chase, with Rev. Dale Goodman and Rev. Dennis Fontenot officiating, interment to follow in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Gilbert; visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Chase Baptist Church, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA
Mrs. Carolyn a member of Chase Baptist Church was born April 29, 1949, in Winnsboro LA to the late Ted Givens and the late Ethel Pippins Givens. She retired from LA DOTD. She loved being with her family and helping others.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Glenn Ferrington, three brothers, Junior Givens, Dennis Givens, and Billy Givens, a grandson, Joey Cotten Mullican.
She is survived by her son, Joey Ferrington and his wife Misty of Gilbert, LA; three granddaughters, Lindsey Mullican and her husband Nick of Baskin, Kelsey Ferrington, and Karley Ferrington both of Gilbert, LA; two great grandsons, Cash Mullican and Carson Mullican; two sisters Stella Beasley Blackmon of Chase, and Eunice Gibson of Rayville, LA; one brother, Donnell Givens and his wife Modene of Baskin, LA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lee Beasley, Kody Beavers, Jeff Eley, Roy Eley, Beau Hill, and Danny McMurray.
