Casey Silkowski

Memorial services for Casey T. Silkowski, 72, of Winnsboro will be held 2 PM Friday, September 11, 2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Bro. Plase Cassels officiating.

Casey was born June 21, 1954, in Bridge City, LA, to the union of the late John Edward Silkowski and the late Edna Marie Billiot Silkowski was one of nine children and passed from this life on August 28, 2026, at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, LA.

Casey’s mother passed away when he was five years old and was later welcomed lovingly in to the foster home of Abel and Estella Templet in Marrero. He grew up there, graduated from West Jefferson High School, and proudly served as a Sergeant in United States Marine Corps. After his service, he returned home to Louisiana. Casey married Mary Pearson of Winnsboro, and together they were blessed with one daughter. In his spare time he enjoyed going to festivals, sightseeing, museums, and going to the John Lafitte National Park to walk the nature trails; he also liked to tinker on things.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Silkowski; his foster parents, Abel And Estella Templet; his three sisters: Donna Silkowski Kellogg, Deanne Silkowski Mills Blanchard, and Gilda “Gidget” Silkowski Hihar; and three brothers: David Silkowski, Nathan Silkowski, and Jay Silkowski.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Bridgett Silkowski Harper and her husband Harold of Delhi; his brother, Glen Silkowski and his wife Patricia of Mesquite, TX; his sister, Margaret “Midge” Silkowski Bartlett and her husband Christopher of Daytona Beach, FL; and a large and loving family of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
