Private graveside services for Charles W. "Chuck" Holcomb, 64, of Winnsboro were held Thursday April 30, 2020, in South Central Cemetery with Rev. Bubba Ezell officiating, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Chuck was born May 3, 1955, in Winnsboro to Charles Burt Holcomb and Shirley Marie Roberts Holcomb Hoggatt and passed from this life on April 28, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center Monroe.
Chuck was a employed as barge engineer. He was an avid LSU fan, he also enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, riding his motorcycle; his favorite place to vacation was the Smokey Mountains.
Survivors include his wife Sue Holcomb of Winnsboro; son, Seth Holcomb and wife Chelsea of Walker; granddaughter, Allie Holcomb; mother, Shirley Holcomb Hoggatt and husband Raymond of Wisner; sister, Jane Berry of Gilbert; sister-in-law, Barbie Sullivan and Dr. Dennis Sullivan of West Monroe; nieces and nephews: Jacy Berry, Jamey Cook-Leighstein, Michael Sullivan, Victoria Sullivan, and Dr. Scotty Sullivan; step sisters: Mona Beach and husband Mike of Wisner, Emmie Jackson and husband Sherman; step brothers: Ray Lee and wife Terri of West Monroe, Lynn Hoggatt and wife Jan of Thibodeaux, Aaron Hoggatt and wife Carla of Wisner and Wylie Hoggatt and wife Ellen of TN; and a host of other relative and friends.
