Graveside services for Mrs. Colleen Matthews Calvit will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2022, at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA, with Rev. John Mabray officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Dennard First National Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Colleen, 60, was born to the union of Russell Matthews and Wille Mae Spruill Matthews September 23, 1962, in Natchez, MS, and passed from this life November 25, 2022, at home in Tensas Parish. Colleen, a homemaker, was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Wille Mae Matthews, and her brother Rusty Matthews. She is survived by her husband Matt Calvit, Jr., daughters, Terra Willhite, and Brooke Spillars; sons, Brian Willhite, and Shay Cassels; sister Kim Long; brother, Chris Matthews and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Alexis Cassels, Logan Cassels, M'Kayla Willhite, Lucion Willhite, Taylor Spillars and Chloe Spillars; great grandchild, Paisley Griffith; nieces and nephews, Cliff Sheppard, Cole Long, Keith Long, Nick Long, Christopher Matthews, and Anna Matthews, and a host of friends in the Tensas community.
