A Memorial Life Celebration for Connie LeGrange Thomas, 74, of Rayville, LA will be held at 2 PM Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Life Church Winnsboro, LA with Rev. Kevin Bates and Rev. George Bates officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 PM until service time Sunday.

Connie, a charter member of Life Church, was born July 30, 1951 in Baton Rouge, LA to the union of the late Mary Maddie LeGrange and John Hicks LeGrange. She passed away peacefully October 14, 2025, following a sudden illness. Though her passing was unexpected, we find comfort knowing she was reunited with her loving husband, John "Moe" Thomas.

She lovingly served the Richland Parish Clerk of Court as a Deputy Clerk for over 25 years, where her kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone she worked with.

Connie was truly the matriarch of her family, the heart of every gathering, and the steady rock her loved ones leaned on. She loved deeply and gave selflessly. She found her greatest joy and purpose when she became a "Me Me" to her beloved grandchildren; she poured her heart and soul into each one of them. A mighty woman of faith, Connie touched countless lives through her love, compassion and steadfast trust in the Lord. She was also a wonderful cook, a gift inherited from her mother, and cooking became her love language.  Every meal she prepared was an expression of her care and devotion.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Crawford (Chris), Jamie Ellis (Josh), Julie Goyne (Heath), and Michelle Rainwater (Matt); her siblings, Janice Achord (Bobby), Johnny LeGrange (Kathy), Ronnie LeGrange (Rose Ann), and Perry LeGrange (Divina); and her special cousin, Carol Law. Her cherished grandchildren are Deanna Oliver, Jessica Cupp (Logan), Rebekah and Luke Crawford, Lynleigh Ellis, Trae and Mariann Long, Hudson, Parker and Harper Rainwater. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael "Moe" Thomas; her mother, Mary Maddie LeGrange; her father, John Hicks LeGrange; her daughter Jill Hulin; her mother-in-law, Mary Louise "Dee Dee" Thomas.

The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers and support shown during this difficult time. The family is sincerely thankful to the Emergency Department at Richardson Medical Center and the ICU team at Glenwood Regional Medical Center for the loving care and compassion shown during Connie's final days. You were truly the hands and heart of Jesus to us.
