Daniel Earl Ulmer

A Memorial Service for Daniel Earl Ulmer, 64, of Winnsboro will be held 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro, with Rev. Danny Davis officiating.

Dan was born January 08, 1960, in Monroe, to the union of the late Coy Ulmer and the late Bobbie Temple Ulmer, and passed from this life at University Medical Center in New Orleans, December 21, 2024.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children: Thomas Ulmer, Coy Ulmer, Misty Calhoun (Justin), Mitchell Basher (Katie), and Michael Basher (Kaitlyn); grandchildren: Gavin Ulmer, Grayson Ulmer, Kadence Ulmer, Jaxon Ulmer, Kyptin Basher, Matthew Basher, Madilyn Basher, Colbie Basher, Tripp Basher, Charlie Basher, Dylane Dotson (Ashley), and Matt Calhoun; great-granddaughter Kaylee Rae Dotson; brother Ronnie Ulmer, sister Kathy Hendry (Jerry), and a host of other family members and friends.

Dan was a Towboat Captain for over 40 years; he loved hunting, fishing, and doing anything outdoors. He enjoyed helping people and always had a good time.

The honorary pallbearer is Conner Rhymes.
