Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Rufus Lance, Sr., 82, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at St. Joseph Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Joel Ford and Rev. Ricky Jones officiating, with interment following at Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton; visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service; all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.

Darrell, was born March 26, 1942, in Mena, AR, to the union of the late William Rufus Lance and the late Dorothy Lee Robnett Lance, he passed from this life at Plantation Manor Nursing and Rehab May 9, 2024.

Darrell worked on red cotton pickers most of his life; he loved hunting and fishing, his garden, and family cookouts.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents and sister Edith Finley. He is survived by his wife of almost sixty-two (62) years, Glynda Maxie Lance; children: Joel Lance (Becky), Lori Neuroth (Craig), Darrell Lance, Jr., and Danny Lance (Leslie); grandchildren: Kevin Lance, Brandon Lance (Ruth), Cody Lance (Brittany), Amanda Simms (Hunter), Ryan Neuroth (Kirstyn), Tiffany Stephenson (Thomas), and Cassidy Butler (Keith); great-grandchildren: Austin, Madelyn, Easton, Raelyn, Jaxson, Bailee, Hunter, Benjamin, Finley, and one on the way; siblings: Rita Easterling, Betty Slaughter, Donald Lance, Roy Lance, Debra Ford, and Cindy Tucker; a host of nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Brandon Lance, Cody Lance, Kevin Lance, Jeff McMurray, Ryan Neuroth, and Jared Tucker.
The honorary pallbearer is Bennie Britton.
