Memorial services for Mrs. Debra Hixon, 70, of Baskin will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church, with Rev. Prentis Gandy officiating, visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church, interment will follow the service at Union Presbyterian Cemetery; all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.Debra was born August 21, 1953, in Delhi, to the union of the late Thomas Earl Cummings, and the late Libby Jean Lord Cummings, and passed to her heavenly home October 31, 2023, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.Debra was a member of Union Presbyterian Church and attended Friendship Baptist Church; she was a store manager of several area stores, she loved visiting with family and friends, drinking coffee, and her gardening.Debra was preceded in death by her parents; sister Dianna Lynn Fleming; granddaughter Debra Dianna Anderson; and grandson Thomas Wyatt Hixon.Debra is survived by son Thomas Neal Hixon of Winnsboro; daughter Shannon Kaye Gandy and husband Isaac of Mangham; son Shane Monroe Hixon of Baskin; daughter Nicole Jean Massey and husband Joshua of Columbia; grandchildren: Samantha Free, Whitney Hixon, Tyler Wright, Nealie Hixon, Cassie Anderson, Dianna Michelle Hixon, Tina Louise Hixon, Willam Anderson, Bella Williamson, Liberty Lauren Hixon, Shane Hixon II, Oliva Gandy, Elijah Paul Gandy, Stetson Massey, and Nessee Massey; great-grandchildren Addi, Mary Ella, Lola, River, and Jaxon; a host of nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.Online condolences may be made at www.dennardfirstnational.com .
