Delois Bailey

Graveside services for Emma Delois “Coudlem” Welch Bailey, 90, of Gilbert, will be 10 am Saturday July 25, 2026, at Holly Grove Cemetery with Rev. Kim Kimball officiating.

Delois was born February 9, 1936, in Gilbert to Charles and Marie Welch, and passed peacefully on July 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Delois was the youngest of three children. At just sixteen and a half years old, she married the only man she would ever love, Bruce “Speck” Bailey. She found joy in raising their six children, and dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved most.

Her greatest legacy is not measured by years, but by the family she nurtured, the kindness she showed, and the love she gave so freely. Her quiet strength, gentle heart, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce “Speck” Bailey; her brother, “Doe” Welch; and her sons, Bo Bailey, Greg Bailey, and Steve Bailey; and daughter-in-law Kim Bailey.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Jackie Hays, Vicki and Terry Martin, and Dana Bailey and Harlan Boutwell; her daughter-in-law, Pam Bailey; her sister, Dixie Kimball; her sister-in-law, Virginia Welch; 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
