Funeral services for Minnie Denise King Smith, 66, of Winnsboro will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church Gilbert, with Rev. Marion Collier and Rev. Billy Smith officiating, with interment following at Crowville Masonic Cemetery, visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, at the church, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.
Denise, a Caregiver, was born July 23, 1957, in Newellton to the union of the late Margie V. Calhoun King and the late Marvin Edward King, and passed from this life at her residence, January 9, 2024.
Denise was a caring person, who loved to talk and laugh, she never met a stranger; most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and her fur babies.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Kenny King.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Smith; her daughter Jennifer Winters; her son Kevin Britt; her stepsons: Dennis Smith, Jr. (Kelly) and Davin Smith (Shonda); grandchildren: Dustin Carroll (Briannah), Austin Winters, Savanna Escher (Cole), Cheyenne Comeaux (Noah), Hannah Burnum (Leyton), Mason Britt, and Cameron Britt; step-grandchildren: Justin Smith, Eli Smith, Dillon Smith, and Emma Smith; great-grandchildren: Braleigh Burnam, Evie Winters, Stella Escher, Nova Escher, Cooper Comeaux, and Chloe Comeaux; her ex-husband and father of her children Eugene Britt; sisters: Jo Ann Hankins (Roger) and Kim King; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Cameron Britt, Mason Britt, Leyton Burnum, Dustin Carroll, Noah Comeaux, and Austin Winters.
Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
