Services for Dorothy Richie Redding, 86, of Columbia, LA will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2020 in the Chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA. with internment to follow at Mulhern Memorial Park in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Dorothy was born November 15, 1933 to the union of Columbus W. Richie and Fannie Butler Richie in Swartz, LA, and passed from this life at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in West Monroe, LA July 9, 2020, after a lengthy illness.

As an LPN, she loved working with the residents of nursing homes which included Colonial Manor Nursing Home and Ridgecrest Nursing Home. She was of member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, daughters Montie Nix of Monroe and Susie Lenard of Mangham, and her son Richie Redding of Monroe; by Grandchildren Brian Redding, John Nix, Julie Carmack, Danielle Redding, Jamie McKnight, and Dylan McKnight; and ten great-Grandchildren, and one Great-Great-Grandchild.

Pallbearers are Trapper Flemming, Wade Flemming, John Nix, Brian Redding, Gage Redding, and Levi Redding. Honorary pallbearers are Jackson Ponarski and Billy Calloway.
