Edna Duncan BartonMangham, LAFuneral services for Edna Duncan Barton, 99, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, Mangham, with Dr. Cory Bruce and Rev. Jeremy Butler officiating; with burial following in Duncan Cemetery, Mangham; visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at the church; all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.Mrs. Edna was born July 14, 1924, in Mangham to the union of the late Viana Mae Roy Duncan and Dave Duncan. She passed to her eternal reward at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro March 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.Mrs. Edna was the oldest living charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mangham; she was a Women's Missionary Union leader, she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the oldest living descendant of Dave Duncan.Mrs. Edna is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Barton, her parents, her daughter JoAnn Boughton, son Jerry Barton, granddaughters: Carla Hedgepeth and Amber Young.Mrs. Edna is survived by her children Jean Young, David Barton, Sr. (Judy), and Ronnie Barton (Tammy); Grandchildren: Randy Young (Janet), David Wesley Young (Keyla), Becky Young, Bo Barton (Shelly), Bobby Barton (Teresa), Dotti Shaw (Paul), Jodi Kenney (Jimmy), David Barton, Jr. (Jamie) Joshua Barton (Mandie), Cory Bruce (Melissa), Samantha Scott, and Blake Barton; she is also survived by twenty-nine (29) great-grandchildren, and six (6) great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law- Jewel Barton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.Pallbearers are David L. Barton, Jr., Joshua Barton, Jacob Barton, Justin Barton, Billy Kenney, Evan Barton, Jon Paul Shaw, and Jace Barton.Honorary pallbearers are the Men of Calvary Baptist Church, John William Hedgepeth, Jimmy D.
