Emilie Stewart

Graveside services for Emilie Landry Stewart, 85, of Winnsboro were held 10 am Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Troy J. Dennard officiating under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home.

Emilie was born December 27, 1940, in Vinton, LA, to the late Joseph Landry and the late Amy Prejean Landry Tharp and passed from this life on September 8, 2026, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.

Emily was a long time member of Crockett Point Baptist Church. She retired from Walmart after many years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary W. Stewart; her son, Raymond Todd Stewart; son-in-law, John Ira Franks; and three sisters: Clara Lee Fowler, Laura Lee Simon, and Walterine Tharp.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters: Lisa Franks and Amy Fortenberry and her husband Ricky; three granddaughters: Megan Franks (David Cheneyworth), Courtney Franks, and Brandi Osborne (Gan); one grandson, Brandon Fortenberry (Christy); one great granddaughter, Preslee Fortenberry; four great grandsons: Brady Fortenberry (Emily), Michael Franks, Dillain Cheneyworth, and Royce Cheneyworth; one great-great granddaughter Addie; special cousins Linda Sue Mott and Sandra Ann Hebert; a host of other relatives and friends.
