Private family services for Floyd Jones, Jr., 83, of Baskin, will be held at a later date under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home.

Mr. Floyd was born October 8, 1941, in Baskin to the union of the late Floyd Jones and the late Lottie Ruth Gray Jones and passed from this life on April8, 2025, at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe.

Mr. Floyd was of member of Winnsboro United Pentecostal Church, a United States Army Veteran, and was retired from the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Glinda Peoples Jones.

Survivors include his son Eric Jones and wife Shelley of Walker; his daughter Amy Jones and husband Bret of Carlile, PA; four grandchildren: Bretany Jones, Addison Jones, Larkyn Jones and Brylee Jones; a host of other relatives and friends.
