Graveside services for Floyd Ellis Potter, Jr., 70, of Winnsboro will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Jennings officiating, under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Ellis was born May 26, 1954, to the union of the late Floyd Ellis Potter, Sr., and the late Florine Eubanks Potter, in Winnsboro, and passed from this life January 24, 2025, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

Ellis was a street foreman, electrician, and cement foreman for the Town of Winnsboro for thirty (30) years. In his spare time, he enjoyed rebuilding electronics, spending time with his wife of forty-five (45) years, Rose, and Saturday morning breakfast with his sister Patricia and brother Tommy. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Ellis is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Laura Guillot. He is survived by his wife Rose; son Billy Temple and wife Faye; daughter Annie Rawles and husband Coty; sister Patricia White; brother Tommy Potter; six (6) grandchildren; six (6) great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
