Funeral services for Mr. Frank Thompson 91, of Baskin, LA will be 11 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Dennard First National Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jason Gootee officiating. Interment to follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.Mr. Frank was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Winnsboro, LA. He was born June 4, 1932, in Gilbert, LA. He was one of ten children born to the union of the late Ralph Theadore Thompson and the late Pauline Troha Thompson and passed away July 10, 2023, in Jackson, MS. He served four years in United States Army and was stationed in Washington state and Alaska; Frank still kept in contact with some of his Army buddies. He worked for TL James Construction Company for 39 years operating a dragline on dredging jobs from Big Creek to jobs on cutting the Intercostal Canal at New Orleans. He worked his way up to superintendent on the machine and he had time for his passion of cooking for the crew.He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife of 64 years Barbara Sue Siddon Thompson who gained her wings nine days earlier, three siblings Bobbie Smith, Michael Thompson and George Thompson, and a brother-in-law that he was really close to Basil 'Buck' Wilson who has been gone for 20 years.He is survived by two sons, Mark David Thompson and his wife Ruth and Todd Frank Thompson; he is also survived by his six siblings: Frankie Case, Jimmy Thompson, Joy Smith, Carol Krammerman, Jackie Hickman, and Joe Thompson; sisters-in-laws Madge Siddon Wilson, Susan Thompson and Josie Thompson; grandchildren Ethan Thompson, Jake Thompson, Emily Thompson and Melanie Bonner; great grandchildren, Maddie Bonner, Atticus Crooks, Charles Winborne, Adalyn Thompson, and Maddox Thompson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memories.Pallbearers are Mark Thompson, Todd Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Jake Thompson, Brian Wilson, and Wade Thompson.The honorary pallbearer is Jimmy Thompson.Online registry/condolences at www.dennardfirstnational.com
