Gloria Ann
Taylor
Jan 26, 1948 — Jun 15, 2025
Gloria Ann McQuillin Taylor passed away at her home on June 15, 2025. She was born in Winnsboro to the union of Virgil and Lucille McQuillin in 1948.
Gloria graduated from Crowville High School in 1966 and from Northeast Louisiana State College in 1969. She dedicated her professional life to her passion for protecting children in need, and retired after working for 38 years with the Child Protective Services for the State of Louisiana.

She was an avid reader and an astute combination of the mother in both Steel Magnolias and Terms of Endearment, with the investigative skills of both Cagney and Lacey.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, the love of her life, Preston Taylor, her parents, her brothers, Leroy McQuillin and J.L. McQuillin, and one sister, Eloise Jackson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amy Harvey, Winnsboro, Erin Taylor, Rayville, grandson Ethan Harvey, and her beloved pet Andy.
