Glynn Edward Oser Sr., “Ed” 76, of Jigger, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home on September 4, 2026, just one day after celebrating his 76th birthday.

Ed was a man who loved being surrounded by his family—at least until he had enough company. Once he’d had his fill of visiting, he wasn’t shy about letting everyone know it was time to go, simply saying, “Okay, you all can go home now.” It was just one of the many things his family will remember and smile about.

Ed enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, he loved to garden. He could grow the biggest freshest tomatoes. He also enjoyed playing the slot machines at bingo. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, painting, farming, and working on the oil rig.

Those who knew Ed will remember him not only for the things he loved to do, but for the memories he created with the people he loved. His presence, his stories, his humor, and even his famous way of letting everyone know when visiting hours were over will be deeply missed.

Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Sharon Ann Oser, who passed away on March 20, 2004. Ed loved and cherished Sharon deeply, and their love remained a special part of his life throughout the years. His mother and father Warren Oser Sr & Frankie Pippens. His four brothers Lil buddy oser, Frank Gerald Oser, Darsh Don Oser, William C Oser, great grandson Warren Bennett Oser.

He is survived by his three children, two sons Glynn Edward Oser Jr., Warren Glynn Oser and wife Chastity Oser, one daughter Tanya Ann Brewer and husband Eric Brewer. Grandchildren: Brandy Morris & husband Marcus Morris, Glynn Oser 3rd, and wife Angel Oser, Leann Oser, Tyler Oser and wife Emily Oser, Alexis Jenkins and husband Chris Jenkins, Bailey Oser & Taylor Campbell, Julie Haygood, Jason Haygood Jr & wife Abigail Haygood, Joshua Haygood, Lexie Bolton, Dylan Oser and wife Alayna Oser, 20 great-grandchildren, his four sisters, Billie Jean Boles, Dorthy Taylor, Sherry Temple, and Joann Searcy, a host of nieces, nephews & friends whom all brought him great joy and gave him many memories to cherish.

Pallbearers will be Jason Haygood, Joshua Haygood Dylan Oser, Glynn Oser, III, Deigo Patlan, and Kenny Wayne Rice.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bailey Oser, Tyler Oser, and Cecil Parker, Jr.

Though he has left this earthly life, the love he shared with his family and the memories he created will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
