Funeral services for Janesse Wactor, 81, of Delhi, will be held 2 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Crockett Point Baptist Church with Rev. Richie Kelly and Ricky Caldwell officiating under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Wednesday December 13, 2023, at the church.
Janesse was born November 27, 1942, in Crowville to the union of the late Hilton Jarrell Southern and the late Melba Laverne Yates Southern and passed from this life on December 10, 2023, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include two daughters: Barbara Dunham and husband Kenney of Delhi, and Michelle Strickland of Start; one brother, Dale Southern of Delhi; four grandchildren: Joni Ponder and husband Jarred, Christa O'Bryant and husband Chris, Ryan Stutts and wife Bailey, and Kelsey Horath; four great grandchildren: Ashton Ponder, Johnathan Ponder, Josie Stutts, and Easton Stutts; one niece; three nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Charles Ray Dunham, Kevin Graham, Neal Horath, Ashton Ponder, Johnathan Ponder, and Rocky Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Dunham, Kirk Southern, and Mikie Southern.
