Funeral services for Henry P. Rolen, 90, of Crowville will be 2 PM Friday, October 27, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Crowville, with Rev. Wade Coker and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thursday October 26, 2023, at the church.Henry was born October 27, 1932, in Winnsboro to the union of the late Henry Shedrick Rolen and the late Mable Mapp Rolen and passed from this life on October 24, 2023, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.Henry was a member of First Baptist Church, Crowville. He retired from LA DOTD as a training engineer after 34 years. Henry served as a deacon at Beouf River Baptist Church and Temple Baptist Church before moving to Crowville. He was active in Little League Baseball as a coach and director; enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and mowing the yard; but most of his enjoyment was the time he spent with his family and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Aline Emfinger Rolen; one son, Henry Timothy Rolen; three brothers: Douglas, Jerry, and Charles Ray Rolen; two sisters: Frances Jane and Jo Ann Rolen; seven half-brothers and seven half-sisters.Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 14 years Bobbie Rolen of Crowville; his daughter, Angelyn Ward and husband Eddie of Crowville; his stepson Jeff Johnston of Liddieville; one grandson, Chris Ward and wife Renee; one granddaughter, Jessica Spinks and husband Ryan; one step grandson: Kenneth Johnston; three great grandsons: Elijah Ward and wife Bailey, Ethan Ward, and Abram Spinks; one great granddaughter, Addison Spinks; one great-great grandson, Wixson Ward; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.Pallbearers will be Lowell Humphries, Mark Ingram, Ernest Rolen, John Rolen, Scott Rolen, Keith Rolen, and Wade Rolen.Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Antley and Ronnie Rolen.Online condolences may be made at www.dennardfirstnational.com
