James Orr

Funeral services for James “Jimmy” Orr, 91, of Wisner will be 10 am Friday, August 21, 2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Peoples officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born February 22, 1935, in Wisner to the union of the late Hillard Orr and the late Corena Cora Perry Orr and passed from this life on August 15, 2026, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro.

Jimmy was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan and enjoyed watching football.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Paul Orr (Celestine), John Orr (Alberta), Clinton Orr (Liz) and Huey P. Orr; and one sister, Opal Louise Erwin (John D.).

Those left to cherish his memory include two special nephews: John Erwin (Janet), and Graylan Erwin (Connie); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Erwin, Jacob Erwin, Mikey Erwin, Travis Erwin, Terry Erwin, and Johnny Albert Orr.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Paul.
