Funeral services for Jean Johnston, 75, of Winnsboro will be 2 pm Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. James Busby and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 pm until time of service at the church.

Jean was born June 12, 1950, to the late Lee Ed Thomas and the late Bonnie Russell Thomas and passed from this life on November 12, 2025, at her residence with her family at her side.

Jean graduated in 1968 from Winnsboro High School and she was a longtime bookkeeper and secretary at Winnsboro Upper Elementary.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years Rickey Johnston; and one brother, Ralph Thomas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons: Jeremy Johnston and Jason Johnston and wife Erin; twin sister, Janice Posey and husband Danny; brother, Ray Thomas and wife Charlotte; five grandchildren: Grace (Maggie), Cole (Sierra), Ellie (Ben), Levi, and Miles; four great grandchildren: Amelia, Atley, Willow and Adeline; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnston, Jason Johnston, Cole Johnston, Levi Johnston, Miles Johnston, Danny Posey, and Cabe Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Wood, Marvin Parker, Ray Thomas, and the deacons of Temple Baptist Church.
