Services for Jeanie Posey McCarthy, 68, of Winnsboro will be held at 2 PM Thursday March 28, 2024, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Fletcher and Pastor Craig Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Wednesday March 27, 2024, at the funeral home.
On March 26, 2024, Jeanie a loving wife, Nana, and mother passed away peacefully at the home in Winnsboro surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness.
Jeanie a native of Winnsboro was born to Blanche Beasley Posey and Floyd Ray Posey, Sr. Jeanie's life underscores the profound importance of family to her. Her roles as a wife and mother were not just responsibilities but sources of joy and fulfillment. The love and dedication she showed to her husband Bruce McCarthy for an incredible 44 years and grandchildren highlight the central roll family played in her life.
Jeanie was a member of Cowboy Church. She had a passion for sewing, riding motorcycles with Bruce, fishing and attending numerous softball games and rodeos supporting her children and grandchildren do what they love.
Jeanie is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Aaron A. Posey and Floyd Ray Posey, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce McCarthy; children: Wade Waller, Floyd "Duncan" Waller and wife Casey; Chris McCarthy and wife Ginna; Dustin McCarthy and wife Amy all of Winnsboro; brothers: Bobby Posey and wife Peggy of Branson, MO and Danny Posey and wife Janice of Winnsboro, LA; Jeanine is also survived by her grandchildren: Zachary, Zadiee and Logan Waller, Adam and Amber Waller, Cody McCarthy and Landon Wall, and Harper Grace McCarthy; great grandchild: Lakelyn Morgan; as well as extended family and numerous friends.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Posey, Danny Posey, J. D. Wilson, Mitch Reynolds, Steve Brown, and Marvin Hitt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Arnold, Jim Bob Robinson, Cody Brown, Seth Howard, Gerald Gilmore, Doug Mooney, and Chance Mooney.
