Funeral services for Jerry Lee "J.B." Halterman, 71, of Winnsboro will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home -Winnsboro, with Rev. Kevin Harper and Bro. Carl Williams officiating, burial will follow at Harris Cemetery; visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the funeral home; all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home - Winnsboro.
Jerry, a farmer, was born January 5, 1952, to the union of the late Clyde Wilton Halterman and the late Evelyn Louise Wallace Halterman, in Bastrop, LA, and departed this life December 5, 2023, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ashley Halterman and Wilton Halterman. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Temple; special daughter Sierra Newsom; son Wilton Halterman; sisters: Patricia Wallace and Margaret- Nell Halterman; brother Archie Halterman; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Aaron Paul Arnold, John Waylon Arnold, Logan Blount, Mike Emfinger Justin Killingworth, Dusty Newsom, Hugh Lane Newsom, and Trey Williams.
