Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Smith, 69, of Winnsboro will be held 2 pm Friday, January 2, 2026, at Crockett Point Baptist Church with Rev. Richie Kelly and Bro. Mike Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the church.

Jerry Wayne was born November 6, 1956, in Winnsboro to the union of the late James Paul Smith, Sr. and the late Dorothy Jean Hendry Smith; and passed from this life on December 29, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.

Jerry Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved to tinker on different things. Jerry Wayne loved his family unconditionally.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Gwen Horne.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years Pamela Smith; his two sons Jerry Wayne Smith, Jr. and daughter-in-love Kaci Jo, and Justin Wade Smith; one grandson Hunter Smith; special niece, Becky Newman; five brothers: James Paul "Buddy", Kenneth, Roger, Rodney, and Donald; four sisters: Debbie, Brenda, Glenda, and Kathy; his fur baby Layla; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Devin DeBlieux, Michael Basher, Donald Smith, Rodney Smith, Roger Smith, and Blake Ulmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Claude Oglesby, Blake Smith, Dalton Smith, Hunter Smith, and Breland Ward.
