Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Sutherlin, 78, of Swampers, LA will be 1 PM, Tuesday,July 25, 2023, at Fish Bayou Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Clark officiating interment to follow in Harris Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time at the church, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro.
Mr. Jerry passed away July 21, 2023 in Monroe, LA, he was a lifetime charter Member of Fish Bayou Church where he served in many positions from Sunday School teacher and Sunday school superintendent, to leading music. He was also a welder, gardener loving husband, daddy, granddaddy and friend.
He was born in Winnsboro, April 18, 1945, to the late Curtis and the late Inez Sutherlin which preceded him in death as well as his wife Lynette Sutherlin, three brothers Ed Sutherlin, John D. Sutherlin, and J. T. Sutherlin, four sisters Darlene O'Bannon, Ruby Mae Staton, Betty Sue McIntyre, and Linda Faye Sutherlin.
He is survived by two sons, Toby Sutherlin and his wife Nicole of Grayson, LA and Jeff Sutherlin of Swampers, LA; grandchildren Devin Sutherlin, Katie Pyles and her husband Cason, Lizzy Sutherlin and her Fianc Nick, Remi Sutherlin, and Joseph Sutherlin; great grandchildren, Haddi Meredith, Beau Pyles, and Raylei Marcantel; and brother-in-law Larry Southern, and a host of church family and friends that will miss him and his wit.
Pallbearers will be Adam Fussell, Tommy Fussell, Donnie LaBorde, Kelvin Scott, Rocky Dale Williams, and Trent Williams.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Brandon Wall.
