Obituary

Funeral services for Joe Pat Jarrette 82 of Baskin, LA will be 10 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Dennard Chapel with Rev. Marion Collier officiating interment to follow in Coax Cemetery Baskin, LA, visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA

Joe Pat loved to work, and if he wasnt working, he was fishing or hunting. He really enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains at least once a year and Canton Texas as often as he could go.

He was preceded in death by his parents James H. Jarrette and Allie Mae Goodman Jarrette, his wife Sue Jarrette, sisters Bessie Dykes, Doll Lanham, Katherine Smith, Patsy Antley, Betty Ruth Jarrette, Bobbie Jean Jarrette, Tommie Jean Jarrette, brother J. W. Jarrette, Charles Jarrette.

Joe Pat is survived by two sons, Joe Pat "Joey" Jarrette, II. and his wife Janet of Baskin, LA, James Charles Jarrette and his wife Betsy of Baskin, LA: two daughters JoAnna Pierce and her husband Clay of Mangham, LA, Jeneen Baquet and husband Shawn of New Iberia, LA

Grandchildren, Jordan Wilson and her husband Josh, Jason Jarrette and his wife Taylor, Jesalyn Stephens and her husband Drew, Isabel Jarrette, Jackson Jarrette, Everett Huff, and Gage Huff and his wife Abby, Allyson Baquet, Anna Baquet, Jarrett Baquet, and Meghan Baquet, Brett Pierce, Hunter Pierce and wife Angelica, and Ashlyn Pierce; great grandchildren, Gunner Wilson, Sawyer Wilson, Jacie Wilson, Jennings Jarrette, Baker Huff, and Benny Huff; two sisters Geneva Holloway of Monroe, LA and Mary Alice "Sug" Cole of Diamond Head, MS and numerous nieces nephews and friends in the community.

Pallbearers will be Jarrett Baquet, Everett Huff, Gage Huff, Jackson Jarrette, Jason Jarrette, Wes McGuffee, Drew Stephens, and Josh Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Antley, Scott Antley, Bobby Parker, Timmy Reppond and the Baskin Coffee Club, and Hunting buddies from Honeysuckle Lane.
