Funeral services for Joseph "Junior" Nealy, 79, of Winnsboro, LA will be 10 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Gilbert, LA with Rev. Hurby Hitt officiating. Interment to follow in Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at Turkey Creek Baptist Church all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA

Junior was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran; he was also an Oilfield dispatcher. He was born August 21, 1945, in Winnsboro, LA to the union of the late Joseph Nealy, Sr. and Edith Nealy and passed from this life on February 8, 2025, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son Jason Nealy, sister and brother-in-law Vickie Robinson and Herbert Gene, brother and sister-in-law George "Bo" Nealy and Marie, and sister-in-law Jerry Nealy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Daphene Nealy; son, Christopher Nealy; grandchildren, Dusty Erskin and Victoria and their children (Jason and Jameson), Joshua Nealy, and Raylea Nealy, their children (Addison Nealy and Sadie Nealy), Mykah Nealy, Austin Nealy (Lyndon Nealy), Macy Nealy her children (Kazer and Maely Armstong), Kelsey Alyssa Nealy; brother Earl "Hooper" Nealy; and a sister Pat Kenney; and a host of Nieces nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Erskin, Austin Nealy, Joshua Nealy, Jerry Temple, Shawn Sullivan and Eddie Quimby.

Honorary pallbearers are Joey Oliver and Pete Welch.
