Memorial services for Malcolm "Mac" Harris 73, of Wisner will be held 2 pm Friday, September 18, 2020, in Northeast Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery with Rev. Rex Barker officiating, under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.
Mac was born October 11, 1946, in Klamath Falls, OR to the union of Monard Hugo Harris and Annie Myrle Smith Harris and passed from this life on May 1, 2020, in Wisner.
Mac was a member of South Central Baptist Church. He also served on the Board of Turkey Creek Fire Department and was a volunteer at both the Wisner Fire Department and Turkey Creek Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Shelton Harris and Kenneth Harris; and daughter-in-law Brandy "Dee" Harris.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years; Joan Bass Harris of Wisner; five children: Kelwin Harris and wife Melissa of Big Lake, TX, Marty Harris and wife Elisa of Lufkin, TX, Malcolm W. Harris, Jr. of Wisner, Taryn H Pearson and husband P. J. of Decatur, MS, and Alan Harris and wife Courtney of Wisner; one sister, Delba Hudnall of Jena; one brother, Derwin Harris of Jena; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; special friend Dennis Berry of Wisner; a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Bass, Robert Bass, Rick Cole, Ronald Fatzer, Billy Parker, Kevin Parker, and Michael Roberts.
