Graveside services for Mrs. Margurette Watson Hendry, 97, of Winnsboro, LA, will be 10 AM Monday, December 30, 2024, in New Winnsboro Cemetery with Rev. James Busby officiating. Under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro.

Margurette was born May 27, 1927, in Franklin Parish to the late John Watson and the late Bell Wainwright Watson and passed away December 27, 2024, in Winnsboro, LA.

Mrs. Henry was a Lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, worked on the flower committee, worked the nursery, and she also served on the benevolence committee and in her younger years she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, her yard and her chickens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Helen Watson, husband L.V. Hendry, a son, A.J. Hendry, and grandson, Randy Ogden.

Mrs. Hendry is survived by her brother Douglas Watson of Sweet, Idaho, two daughters Donna J. Smith and her husband Donnie of Winnsboro, LA, and Margie Ogden and her husband Gene of Delhi, LA; two Granddaughters, Angela Baldwin and her husband Ben of Northwest AR., and Laura McManus and her husband Brad of Rayville, LA; three great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
