Marie Lofton

Funeral services for Marie Lofton, 81, of Winnsboro will be 2 pm Sunday, May 3, 2026. at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. James Lee Busby officiating. Interment will follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the funeral home.

Marie was born November 12, 1944, in Winnsboro to the late Archie Marvin Talbert and the late Beatrice Marie Brown Talbert and passed from this life on April 29, 2026, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro following a brief illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Allen Talbert and Archie Talbert; and one sister, Patsy Ann Talbert.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Winton Lofton; her children: Perry Lofton and wife Song-He, Miller Martin and Michelle Long, and Terri Taylor and husband Jeff; one brother, James Talbert and wife Anita; one sister, Shirley McManus; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bill Clark, J. W. Dean, Don Graham, Nick Poulos, Marlon Valentine, and Mitchell Valentine.

Honorary pallbearers will be Benny George, J. L. Hendrix and Elvin “Pee-Wee” Montgomery.
