Mark H. McDaniel

Mark Howard McDaniel was born April 14, 1962, in Delhi, LA and passed away July 23, 2026, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his father, James H McDaniel, Sr, and survived by his mother, Barbara E McDaniel. Mark also leaves behind a loving wife, Erin (Suzy) McDaniel and, although they shared no biological ties, a son, Dylan Johnston (married to Brianne) and a daughter, Alyssa Griffin (married to Joe) as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mark had an avid love of the outdoors, particularly the Bayou Macon where he insisted on being baptized upon receiving the gift of eternal salvation. Throughout his career he took great care in mentoring and nurturing young colleagues forging familial bonds that have grown his extended “family” internationally.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Warsaw Baptist Church (2845 Hwy 577 S, Dehi, LA 71232) with Rev. Jeff Sykes officiating. Interment to follow in Lamar Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held 2-5pm on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the church, all under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Crowe, Joe Griffin, Dylan Johnston, Jay McDaniel, Peter Skipper, and Will Troia.
