Mary Silkowski

Funeral services for Mary Silkowski, 71, of Winnsboro, will be 10 am Friday, August 28, 2026, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Bro. Plase Cassels officiating. Interment will be in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the funeral home.

Mary was born December 22, 1954, in Shreveport to the union of the late Odie Eugene Pearson and the late Billie Jean Williams Pearson and passed from this life on August 21, 2026, following an automobile accident.

Mary enjoyed spending her time reading, working crosswords and puzzles, watching movies, and thrift shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Jessie Carter; one brother, Greg Carter; one sister, Mona Smith; her best friend, Rhonda Jewell, and friend Joanne Lapankas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Casey Silkowski of Winnsboro; her daughter, Bridgett Harper and her husband Harold Eugene Harper, III of Delhi; her two sisters: Kathy Pearson Davis and her husband Freddie of Zwolle, Sherri Jones and her husband Edward of Winnsboro; one brother, Tony Carter and his wife Denise of Gonzales; lifelong friend Molly Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Bellon, Terry David, Darrel Davis, Stacy Ray Davis, and Edward Jones.
