Funeral services for Mary Belle White, 94, of Winnsboro will be held 11 am Saturday, September 20, 2025, at First Baptist Church – Winnsboro, with Rev. Craig Beeman and Dr. Jody Dean officiating.  Interment will follow in Palo Alto Cemetery, Mayna, in a private family service under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 9:30 – until time of service Saturday at the church.

Mrs. White was born on April 8, 1931 in Mangham to the union of Johnie Davis and Beatrice Taylor Davis; and passed from this life on September 17, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

Mary Belle White was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro.  Mary Belle understood what service to others means.  She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, and taught GAs, Girls in Action, and the mission ministry for girls.  She was also involved in decorating the church for various events, especially Christmas.  Mary Belle also served on the hostess committee and the Helping Hands Ministry, which helped people in the community with odd jobs.  She certainly kept God and church first in her life.

Mary Belle was always active in the community.  She was recognized with the Northeast Louisiana Regional Volunteer of the Year by the Arts Council in 2002.  She was a charter patron of the Princess Theatre and founding member of the Princess Theatre Foundation.  She was awarded the annual Spirit Award by the Winnsboro-Franklin Parish Chamber of Commerce.  Mary Belle was a founding member and Chair of the Winnsboro Beautification Committee.

Mary Belle was a long-time active member of the Garden Gate Study Club and loved flower arrangements and keeping her yard beautiful.

Mary Belle was an active member of the Oakley Chapter, National Daughters of the American Revolution for 28 years.  She served her chapter as Regent, Vice Regent, Treasurer, and Registrar.  She served the Louisiana State Society as Corresponding Secretary.  She was also a member of the United States Daughters of 1812 and the First Families of Mississippi.

Mary Belle is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Owen White, parents and one brother, Clifton Davis.  Survivors include two sons; Cloid White and wife Ginger, and Robert John White and wife Charlotte all of Winnsboro; six grandchildren: Kris White, John White, Grayson White, Emily White Dean, Hunter White and Brandon Welch; and 10 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kris White, John White, Hunter White, Brandon Welch, Lynn White, and James White.
