Funeral services for Matthew Boothe, 61, of Monroe will be 2 PM Monday, March 30, 2026, at Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church with Rev. Troy Dennard officiating. Interment will follow in Boothe Cemetery in Harrisonburg Hills, under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home,Winnsboro,LA, visitation will be 10 am – until the time of a service at the church.

Matthew was born March 2, 1965, in Houston, TX , to the union of the late John A. Boothe and the late Bonnie Faith Overbeck and passed from this life on March 25, 2026, in Wisner.

Matthew was a skilled tree surgeon, which was fitting for someone who loved the outdoors as he did. Matthew raised horses and chickens and loved his puppy dogs. He also enjoyed chicken fighting.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two brothers: Mark Boothe and his wife Wendy, and Kirby Boothe; his sister Tabitha Nobles; his four sons: Matthew, Wyatt, Tristan, and Morgan; his daughter, Desiree; nieces and nephews: Mark, Marcus, Logan, Brittany Ferguson and her husband Garrett Paul; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lil Mark Garret, Garrett Paul Ferguson, and Trampus Tarver, Judas Gunter. Nicholai Beavers, and Mark Boothe.Honorary Pallbearer will be Logan Nobles.
