Funeral services for Matthew Layne Eldridge, 43, of Winnsboro, will be held 11 am Friday June 6, 2025, at Crockett Point Baptist Church with Rev. Richie Kelly and Ricky Caldwell officiating. Interment will be in Crockett Point Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 am until the time of service at the church.

Matthew was born November 20, 1981, in Monroe to the union of Rudy Eldridge and DeLane Womble Eldridge and passed away at his residence in Winnsboro on June 4, 2025, after a long battle will illness.

Matthew was a welder by trade working from California to Virginia and all over the ArkLaMiss and Texas. He loved his children and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his children: Jadon and Jalee Eldridge; parents, Rudy and DeLane Eldridge; brothers, Brandon and Patrick Eldridge.

Pallbearers will be Matt Bass, Russell Caldwell, Ryder Caldwell, Derek (Doc) Gooden, Doug Gooden, Wade (Willie Earl) Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Cox and Kevin Oswell.
