Funeral services for Mysta Lee Gunkel Kirkpatrick will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, October 6,2026, in the chapel of First United Methodist Church St. Joeseph, with Rev. Chris Yates officiating. Visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM, Monday, October 5, 2026, in the chapel of Dennard First Nation Funeral Home, under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA.
Mysta was born August 19, 1948, and passed away October 3, 2026, in Natchez, MS. Mysta was married 57 years, to the love of her life, Harold “Coon” Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by sons, Michael Kirkpatrick (Lisa) and Gabe Kirkpatrick (Summer), grandchildren, Cabe Kirkpatrick (Julie), Kayla Faust (Brandon), Mackenzie Young (Sawyer), Ella Kirkpatrick, and Bailey Kirkpatrick, great grandchildren, Hayes Young, and Ellie Kirkpatrick, as well as many other extended family and friends.
Mysta loved life, and she lived hers to the fullest. She was a beautician for 47 years and loved to talk to anyone about everything. She had a zest for life and often remarked “I’m well loved”. Not only was she loved, but she loved others just as much. Mysta often showed her love for others by cooking a meal or baking some sweets. She had an adventurous spirit; and loved being mischievous with all her partners in crime. She will be extremely missed; But we know she is dancing with “Coon” and filling him in on all her adventurous stories he has missed.
Pallbearers will be John Michael Goodwin, Leslie Bradley, John Moore, Lawrence Perritt, Ryan Hestle, Joe Keyes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Bradley, Al Coco, and Mike Goodwin
