Nita McDaniel

Going home services for Nita McDaniel, 54, of Wisner will be 10 am Monday June 29, 2026, at Jigger Apostolic Church with Rev. Hurby Hitt and Rev. Mark Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in Kings Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday June 28, 2026, 6 pm until at the church.

Nita was born October 29, 1971, to the union of Arthur Ray Taylor and Daisy Carrington Taylor and went to her eternal home on June 24, 2026, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.

Nita was a member of Jigger Apostolic Church. Nita enjoyed spending her time reading, writing in her journal, and watching period movies; but her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her Aunt Vi.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Chad McDaniel; her three children: Ryan McDaniel, Kourtnee McDaniel, and Allison Waguespack and her husband Logan; her parents, Ray and Daisy Taylor; her grandchildren: Aria McDaniel, Silas McDaniel, Juliet Rose Waguespack and due in August Elodie Waguespack; her sister, Tandy Taylor; her brother Rob Taylor and his wife Allyson; her church family; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tron Barton, Jeffery Gallagher, Elijah Hunt, Lance Jemerson, Brad Taylor and Tucker Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Carraway and Silas McDaniel.
