Funeral services for Paulette Evans, 74, of Clayton, LA, will be 12 pm Saturday, June 20, 2026, in New Hope Apostolic Church, Sicily Island, LA, with Rev. Arlie Rowley, Rev. Chris Hamilton, and Rev. Bo Sills officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home, Winnsboro, LA. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service at the church.
Paulette was born August 9, 1951, in Monticello, AR, to the late Richard Paul Matthews and the late Margaret Elizabeth Vest Matthews and passed from this life on June 16, 2026, in Alexandria, LA.
Paulette was a faithful member of New Hope Apostolic Church. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were her whole life as family was very important to her. She enjoyed going out to eat Chinese food.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Benny Evans; and brother, Richard Evans.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Beth Parker and her husband Anthony; two sisters: Pearl Nugent and Margaret Ann Allen; six grandchildren: Brianna Evans, Nick Chauvin, Journey Evans, Jocelyn Mestayer, Braxton Vaughan, and Jasmine Parker; great grandson, Sebastian Evans; bonus grandchildren: Holden Hayden, and Heidi Holley, and Alex, Connor and McKenna Torrey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jay Evans, Journey Evans, Bruce Holley, Hayden Holley, Holden Holley, and Tommy Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Allen, Paul Allen, Alex Torrey, Connor Torrey, and Braxton Vaughan.
