Ruby Thomas, 80, of Winnsboro, LA was born July 27, 1945, in Gentry, AR, and passed from this life on February 11, 2026, in Shreveport, LA.

Ruby was a waitress for many years and enjoyed spending time barrel racing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Shirley Gene Thomas, and her son Joseph Elmer Thomas.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynne McKenzie and her husband Danny of Winnsboro; one grandson, Bryan Alexander McKenzie and his wife Harley; one granddaughter, Sierra Thomas; three great grandchildren: Chrislyn, Gabe, and Gunner McKenzie; two sisters: Yvonne Inglett and Vickie Adams and her husband Robert; a host of other relatives and friends.

Any planned memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

The family is honoring her wishes that no services be held.
