A celebration of life service for Samuel Cloy Arnold, 54, from Newellton, LA, will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Toledo Bend Church of Christ.

Sammy passed away Monday, June 23, 2025. Samuel was born June 2, 1971 to the late union of Doyle and Lucy McClelland Arnold. Grandparents were Sam and Inez White McClelland of Winnsboro, and Cloy and Eva Jane Bryant Arnold of Newellton.

Sammy is survived by his two brothers, Scott Arnold and Stan Arnold, niece, Dana Curry and husband Jamie, nephew Derek Arnold and wife Morgan, as well as 4 great nieces, Avery Curry, Kinzley, Kennedy and Kamryn Arnold. Aunt Arzelia McClelland Bardin, and Uncle Randall & Agnes McClelland Gandy and many Cousins.

Sammy attended school in Newellton and Winnsboro. He has been working in Vicksburg about 30 years. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. He had been hospitalized for about a week and after treatments for heart disease was released to go home where he passed on unexpectedly. He will be missed.
