Funeral services for Sarah Gurley, 89, of Memphis, TN, will be 11 am Saturday, April 4, 2026, at South Central Baptist Church, Wisner, LA, with Bro. Garrison Griffith and Mr. Howard Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA. Visitation will be 10 – 11 am Saturday also at the church.

Sarah was born July 19, 1936, in Wisner, LA, to the late Henry Clay Anderson and the late Alene Martin Anderson and passed from this life March 29, 2026, at her home in Memphis, TN.

Sarah was owner of United Warehouse and Terminal and Deliberate Literate Bookstore and Coffee Shop in Memphis, TN.  She was a member of Daughters of the Civil Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution.  She enjoyed spending her time researching her family ancestry, writing poetry, and cooking for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Bill Hull.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Lynn Browder of Memphis, TN; her son, Richard Cole of Wisner, LA; her three grandchildren: Trey Browder of Memphis, TN, Ben Cole and his wife Melissa of Wisner, LA, and Sarah Cole of Delhi, LA; three great grandchildren: Raymond Womack, Kaylee Cole, and Nathan Cole; her brother, Howard Anderson and his wife Becky of Wisner, LA; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rod Elrod, Billy Smith, Phillip Hutto, Ben Cole, Raymond Womack, and Brad Anderson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Trey Browder and Nathan Cole.
