Mrs. Shirley was a retired service representative for South Central Bell phone company, and was always a worker, though she loved babysitting and her grandchildren.

She was born December 21, 1944, in Holly Ridge, LA to the late Homer and Ola McManus and passed away March 23, 2025, at her residence in Liddeville, LA. she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband W.A. "Bo" Erskin, brothers James McManus, Charles McManus, and Lloyd McManus, her sisters Dovie Hales and Helen Strickland, and a grandson Garrett McMurray.

She is survived by her son Barry Erskin, and daughter Shanda Erskin both of Liddeville, LA; grandchildren, Dusty Erskin and his wife Victoria, Sawyer McMurray, and Saylor Erskin; great grandchildren Jason, Jameson Beau Erskin; her sister Montiel Evans and her husband Howard of Dunn, LA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
